How do I enter the ball? What's the deal with wristbands? You MUST have a wristband to enter the ball. You can only collect your own wristband, any guests will also need to collect their own. You will need to bring a valid form of photo identification to the collection point (Bod cards and debit cards are not accepted). This is an OVER 18s EVENT ONLY. The name on the ID must match the name on the ticket. If you have made a ticket exchange please ensure the name matches yours, which can be done through the transfer option on the fixr app. If you’ve bought someone a guest ticket, transfer it to them on the fixr app so that the name matches. Find a guide on how to transfer here: https://help.fixr.co/en/articles/2032380-transferring-tickets You must be able to show your tickets either on your phone or printed out.

When can I pick up my wristband?Wednesday, 22: 2-6 PM at the Wadham College Porter’s Lodge. Thursday, 23: 2-6 PM at the Wadham College Porter’s Lodge. Friday, 24: 9 AM-12 PM at the Wadham College Porter’s Lodge. For those travelling to Oxford on the evening of the ball, there will be a limited pick up from 5-9 PM. You cannot collect wristbands after 9 PM, which is last entry. This is specifically for people who could not make earlier time slots, DO NOT attend this slot if you are Oxford based, and could pick up at an earlier time slot. You will end up stuck in a queue and will miss some of the evening’s entertainment You are not guaranteed entry if you fail to pick up your wristbands prior to 9 PM on Friday the 24th. We therefore emphasise attending an earlier drop in to guarantee smooth entry and the greatest possible enjoyment of the entertainment on the night. A member of the Committee will affix your wristband which is non-transferrable. Please do not take it off until after the event. If you lose the wristband, you will not be able to enter.
-
What if I can't make it by last entry at 9 PM?We're very sorry but for security reasons we are unable to admit you after last entry at 9 PM, please do not ask for exceptions or special provisions as we will be unable to provide them.

Is there funding available for Wadham students through Ball for All?Yes! Oxford college balls can be prohibitively expensive for some, and we believe that no student should miss out because of financial factors outside of their control. Ball for All offers a ticket at a heavily discounted rate of £50 to students who would otherwise struggle to afford it. This scheme is open to any current Wadham student who feels that a ball ticket would place them under unreasonable financial strain, whether in receipt of a bursary or not. The application procedure will work as follows: Tickets for all BfA applicants will be set aside, so if you are planning on applying, do not purchase at the first launch on Friday, November 19th. Applications are to be made directly to the bursary; the email address is ball-for-all@wadham.ox.ac.uk. Applications can only be sent to this address; due to staff on leave at the moment the bursary is very busy, so any requests elsewhere may be missed. Your application should consist of your name and email, along with a brief description of your circumstances which explains why you are applying for the scheme. Applications will be assessed at the end of term by the bursary and applicants will hear back at the beginning of the xmas vac. Successful applicants will be sent a unique discount code which will allow them to purchase tickets at the discounted rate.
-
